NHC Practice Support in 2023/24
Practices can access CQC and Audit support to assist with day to day operations and compliance activities. This falls into 3 categories:
- CQC Compliance & Inspection Preparation Support
- Premises Risk Assessment
- Infection Prevention & Control Audit
CQC Compliance Support
Practice support can access a variety of funded activities and options. These include:
Each practice has been allocated up to 1.5 days funded support for the period 2022-2024.
Premises Risk Assessments
As part of their NHS contractual obligations and CQC compliance are expected to undertake regular Premises Risk Assessment and Infection control activities including audits.
In 2023 NHC funding has been provided to cover the costs of 4 annual practice premises risk assessments covering:
-Health & Safety risk assessment
-Fire & Safety risk assessment
-Legionella risk assessment
-Disability Access risk assessment
IPC Audit
In 2022 Infection Prevention Solutions (IPS) was commissioned to conduct a programme of infection prevention and control audits across Newham for all GP Surgeries.
Feedback from practices was extremely positive and this service has been commissioned by NHC again for 2023.
