Newham Primary Care Recruitment Day

We are delighted to announce that we are hosting another Newham Primary Care Recruitment Day following the success of our event last year.

As part of our support to GP Practices, we help recruit a wide variety of roles within primary care with some roles hosted by us, and others hosted by practices, primary care networks (PCNs) and partners. Primary care services provide the first point of contact in the healthcare system, acting as the ‘front door’ of the NHS.

We will be working in partnership with our Newham stakeholders Newham Training Hub and University of East London to host this day and provide access to jobs for residents of Newham, as well as helping attendees to find out about working in primary care.

Working in primary care doesn’t just mean doctors and nurses; there are now numerous opportunities to work in primary care with many new clinical and non clinical roles available. Many roles do not require a degree although we also have some graduate roles available too. We will have staff working across a variety of roles attending the event to help attendees learn more about roles in primary care. For a full list of the roles we will be recruiting for visit this page. Please note this is a live list and more roles may be added if vacancies occur.

Details of the day can be found below:

Venue: University of East London, University Square Stratford, 1 Salway Road, London, E15 1NF

Date: 28 April 2023

Time: 10am-3.30pm

The day will feature a number of stalls for attendees to visit as well as some lunchtime talks from primary care staff, and will also feature interview slots for any attendees who wish to interview for a particular role. Please note these interview slots will need to be booked in advance. These can be booked on our event webpage.

Attendees can register for the day here, but we are also happy to welcome walk ins.

The day is free to attend and will include some goody bags for all that attend.

Do spread the word and let any colleagues, friends and family members who might be interested in working in primary care know about this event!

Keep an eye on our website and our social media channels (We’re on Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and Instagram) for more information about the event and the roles on offer. If you have any questions, please contact our event lead Nana Addo-Yobo.
